Student Council is an organization designed to give students an opportunity to accept responsibility and learn leadership skills to apply in real-life situations. Members of the student council represent their student body and help in planning exciting events for the school!
Student council assists in planning Red Ribbon Week, runs the school spirit shop and supports the school in many ways.
Students wishing to participate in student council, in grades 3-5, may "campaign" for office. Students will prepare and present a short campaign speech to their homeroom class and create one campaign poster during a one week campaign. CES students will then experience the voting process and come to the voting booth to vote for one boy and one girl from each homeroom! The campaign dates for the 2017-2018 school year will be determined soon.
One representative from each class will serve in the Fall and the other in the Spring (this may be decided among students and their parents).
Once announced, student council representatives must attend one meeting per month after school.
Student Council is a wonderful experience and promotes responsibility, confidence and the CES community!
