    Congratulations Speech and Debate!

    The Speech and Debate team is coached by Grant Hahn and Jane Boyd.

    Lone Star Cup
    GHS finishes 3rd in state Lone Star Cup
    LoneStarCup This summer, Grapevine High School finished third in the 5A UIL Lone Star Cup, which honors the best overall extra-curricular and academic programs in Texas. This was made possible by state champions in mathematics, wrestling, team tennis, tennis doubles, track and field events and top five finishes at state in gymnastics and girls’ soccer.
    Standings include: State and Area Marching Band, Team Tennis, Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Soccer, Golf, Track & Field, Academics, One Act Play, Softball, and Baseball
    Standings for the UIL Lone Star Cup are compiled via a year-long accumulation of points based on team success at the district and state level in the UIL activities listed above.

    GHS football players visit the Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation in Dallas
    Grapevine High School football players visited the Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation in Dallas to learn about the impacts of traumatic brain injuries.  Visit the following link to read about the football players' field trip and what they learned:

    Oral Interp Success
    This past week, 5 members of the interp team proved that good things come in small packages.  With only 5 members, the team placed in the top 20 in the nation, receiving a speech school of excellence trophy (Over 400 schools eligible).  This is the second year in a row that Grapevine Interp has received this award.  Also, congrats to Jane Boyd on being inducted into the NSDA hall of fame.  Overall a great week.  Individual awards below.
