Office of Assessment, Research and Evaluation Acceleration and Credit by Exam Information GCISD offers opportunities for students to participate in acceleration examinations. The purpose of the accelerated by exam is to allow a student to accelerate and earn credit for a particular course without formal instruction that course or to recover credit from a course in which s/he received a failing grade. The criteria for credit and placement are based on both district and state criteria. Please follow the following links for more information.
