Download a flyer with class schedules Driving Instruction Driving Times available: 7a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday (arranged with instructor at beginning of session). Driving instruction consists of seven (7) hours driving and seven (7) hours observation done concurrently with classroom instruction (if possible). Times are arranged after session has begun. Once the student has completed six (6) classroom hours, he/she will need to obtain a driving permit. The student must be 15 years of age by the day the session starts – NO EXCEPTIONS. The charge for the class is $315 for GCISD students and $365 for out-of-district students; plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee for all students. [Students who miss more than six (6) hours will be dropped from the class causing loss of time and full tuition.] Registrations will be taken at both GHS and CHHS front offices as well as the office of Continuing Education (736 East Northwest Highway in Grapevine) Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. during the above scheduled registration dates. (Parent or guardian must sign.) During the driving session, while the students are under district supervision, the district vehicles and occupants are insured against any liability that might occur. NOTE: Driving is not always completed by the last day of class. Refund Policy To receive an 80 percent refund, students must officially withdraw prior to the first class meeting. A 100 percent refund will only be given if a class is cancelled by Continuing Education.
