Trustees approve Colleyville Heritage High head football coach
The
Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees formally approved Mike
Fuller of Coppell ISD as the Colleyville Heritage High School head
football coach. The action was approved during Monday’s regularly-scheduled
monthly meeting. Fuller’s contract takes effect July 1.
Fuller, 37,
joins GCISD from Coppell High School, where he has served as the
head football coach/boys athletic coordinator for the past seven
years. He has compiled an overall record of 49-30 and a district
record of 31-14. His teams have advanced to playoffs in five of
his seven years as head coach and have won two district championships.
Fuller takes
over for coach Chris Cunningham, who is leaving GCISD after the
current school year for a position as director of athletics with
Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano.
Before becoming
head coach in Coppell, Fuller served as the offensive coordinator
from 1997-1999. He has also coached at Irving MacArthur High School,
Conroe High School and Harlingen High School. He is a graduate of
Arlington High School and Abilene Christian University, where he
competed in both football and baseball. He earned a Bachelor of
Science in 1993 and holds a teaching certificate in Social Studies.
Fuller and his
wife, Holly, have two children.
