  • 2007-2008 GCISD Cheerleader Tryout Information

    HIGH SCHOOL
    GCISD High School Cheerleader tryouts for the 2007-2008 school year will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Colleyville Middle School. The Cheerleader Clinics will be offered February 27, 28 and March 1 at Colleyville Middle School, from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

    GCISD High School Cheerleading Parent Information Meeting, Thursday, Feb. 1, 6:30 p.m. at Cross Timbers Middle School Lecture Hall. Parents of any student interested in trying out for cheerleader at Grapevine High School or Colleyville Heritage High School for the 2007-2008 school year should plan to attend.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL
    GCISD Middle School Cheerleader tryouts will be Friday, March 9, 2007. This is the Friday BEFORE Spring Break. (Please schedule Spring Break travel to avoid conflicts.)
  • CHHS Band to Earns First Place Award
    The Colleyville Heritage High School Winter Guard recently won a first place award at the Colony and received a promotion to the SA Division. In addition, The CHHS Band will host the North Texas Colorguard Association Winter Guard and Percussion contest on February 24 at the CHHS Athletics Center, Gym 1.  Doors open at 8 a.m. and contests begin at 8:30 a.m.  Throughout the day, over 65 Texas and Oklahoma Winter Guard and Percussion units will compete. The public is invited to attend.  Admission is $7 per person ages 9 and above and children age 8 and under are free. Limited sponsor and vendor opportunities are available.  Contact Vicki Smith at 817-798-6233 for additional information.

    In addition to the livestock awards, two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each were awarded to Lauren Owens and Stephen Roop.  Owen’s scholarship was donated by the Southwestern Livestock Expedition and Roop’s scholarship was donated by Hillwood Development Company. The GHS FFA Chapter received the third place award for Herdsman.  The Grapevine High School FFA program is under the direction of Bill Burton.
  • Last chance to order wall tiles
    Grapevine High School’s commemorative tile wall is now in the main hallway. GHS alumni, current students, future students and staff who would like to have a 6x8 tile to place on the school’s wall in honor of the 100th year celebration are asked to create non-copyrighted pictures and/or artwork on special paper provided by the campus by March 9. The price for current students is $20 for all tiles. The cost for other individuals is $25 for the first tile and $20 for additional tiles.
