Board of Trustees meeting
The Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees will meet Monday
for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at the GCISD Administration
Building, 3051 Ira E. Woods Ave. in Grapevine. Open session begins

Heritage
Elementary family night at CiCi's
Cici's Pizza in Grapevine is hosting an appreciation night for Heritage
Elementary families on Tuesday, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting
HES. All HES families are encouraged to dine out and support their

GHS
plans meeting for ESL students, parents
The Grapevine High School ESL department will host its second meeting
for students in the English for Speakers of Other Languages program
and their parents and teachers. The meeting will feature involvement
opportunities, the online Family Access program, student grades
and upcoming testing dates. The meeting will be 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday
at the Regional Place Apartments, 3037 Mustang Drive. Holiday refreshments

CHHS
hosts theatre workshop for kids
The Colleyville Heritage High Theatre Department will host its fourth-annual
Children's Theatre Workshop for students in grades kindergarten
through fifth. Students will participate in a variety of theatre
activities, and will present a special performance for parents at
the end of the workshop. The program is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at
CHHS. Cost is $50 and includes lunch and T-shirt for each participant.

Upcoming Events
GCISD
early dismissal for students, closed for winter break
GCISD students will enjoy early dismissal on Dec.
20, the last day before winter break. Elementary students will be
released at 11:30 a.m., middle school students will be released
at Noon and high schools will release students at 12:30 p.m. All
GCISD campuses and administrative offices will be closed Dec. 21-Jan.
1 for the winter break. Employees will return Jan. 2 for staff development
and students will return Jan. 3.

Bridges
receives endowment with Foundation
The Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation has received a $10,000
endowment gift designated for Bridges Learning Center from the Hook
Family of Grapevine. This endowment will now be invested to benefit
teachers and students at Bridges. Information: Janice Kane, Foundation

takes sweepstakes award in debate, oral interpretation competition
Members of the Grapevine High debate and oral interpretation teams
won the sweepstakes award this past weekend at the Coppell Cowboy
Invitational, and several students earned top-five spots in individual
competitions. Results include:
- Will
Hix - first place, Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate; Domestic Extemporaneous;
first-place speaker, Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate; and qualified
for state.
- Leslie
Berntsen - first place, Student Congress and qualified for state.
- Eric
Frazier - first place speaker, Varsity Cross-Examination Debate;
third place, Varsity Cross-Examination Debate and qualified for
state.
- Eric
Wey - third place speaker, Varsity Cross-Examination Debate.

Melendez - third place, Varsity Cross-Examination Debate; fourth-place
speaker, Varsity Cross-Examination Debate.
