Board candidates forum set for April

Candidates for the GCISD Board of Trustees will participate in a Candidates Forum on April 29. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters and will be held at the Grapevine High School Library from 6:30-9 p.m. The public is invited to attend to learn more about the candidates for the three seats up for election on the GCISD Board of Trustees. Early voting begins April 28 and election day is May 10.

In Place 6, current trustee Vince Rosen is being challenged in the election by Leon Leal. Place 7 candidates are Mia Green and Jorge Rodríguez. Place 7 incumbent Freda Ward is not seeking re-election. Current trustee Jesse Rodríguez, Place 5, is unopposed for his seat on the Board.

The forum will follow a brief general meeting of the GCISD Council of PTAs.
