2006-2007 CMS PTA Volunteer Opportunities

Arts in Education: Assist with the enhancement and enrichment of the Arts in Education programs, projects and communications, and assist with the PTA's Reflections Program. Contact Julie Glenn @ 817-540-5780.

Campus Beautification: Assist and maintain projects that enhance the beauty of the schools' campus (e.g., sewing, gardens, etc.).  This position is open.  Contact the President, Mouri Kulaga @ 817-283-3413 (mak-4@sbcglobal.net) for more information.

Chaperones: Assist in PTA school socials, field trips, cotillion, activity day, etc..

Cotillion: Assist as chaperones at the dances, assist with name tags, and help set up/clean up the refreshment table. Contact Michelle Kelley @ 817-571-8956.

Geography Bee/Spelling Bee : Assist teachers in preparation of event.  Contact Susan Wertenberger @ 817-267-0568.

Hospitality/Teacher Appreciation: Assist with providing refreshments and supplies, setting up/cleaning up event, and also assist with serving. Contact Kelly Hightower @ 817-581-8767.

Library or Book Fair: Assist Librarian with various library duties. Set up/clean up during Book Fair; monitor students visiting Book Fair. Contact Myra Herzog @ 817-427-9968, zezog@aol.com).

Nurse's Office: Assist nurse as needed (i.e. Vision, Hearing and Spinal screening).

PTA Newsletter:

School Office: Assist with general office work - computer, classroom runner, visitor questions, etc.

School Supplies: Assist with distributing supplies at schedule pickup; coordinate sale materials with teachers; process orders. Contact Stacie Jerman @ 817-577-1877 (staciesonthego@sbcglobal.net).

Science/Environment: Assist with programs and projects that will enhance awareness of environmental needs of our school and community, such as the EPA Environmental Poster contest. This position is open.  Contact President, Mouri Kulaga @ 817-283-3413 (mak-4@sbcglobal.net) for information.

Student Directory: Volunteers are needed to assist in proofreading and distribution. Contact Louise Bowman @ 817-545-5655 (bowtex@comcast.net).

Sunshine/Student Needs: Assist with charity drives, special needs within our own campus, and in sending acknowledgment cards as necessary. Contact Lynn Stevens @ 817-283-0179 (skygirl707@sbcglobal.net).
