Welcome Back! 

Our theme for the 2007-08 school year is “Wild About Dove”.  We are excited to be able to be a part of this school and the staff felt this was a very appropriate slogan to show our pride.  Along with being named “Exemplary” by the Texas Education Agency, we are proud of each and every student and our many varied achievements.   We hope that everyone will be able to stop by and see our newly painted cafeteria with its Texas artwork provided by artist and Dove parent, Nannette Petrie.  The Dove PTA provided supplies and Nanette and her team worked countless hours.  Our students will love and learn from the new look!

Other new additions to Dove include a few new staff members.  Please help us welcome these new faces.

First Grade:  Monica Trussell will be new to the first grade team.  She is an experienced teacher who comes to us with rave reviews.  Welcome, Monica!

Second Grade:  New on the scene in second grade is Brooke Calhoun.  Brooke is also an experienced teacher who has recently moved to Colleyville.  We are very fortunate to have Brooke!

Fifth Grade:  New to us and new to teaching is Nichole Hostetler.  Nichole completed her internship in GCISD at Bransford Elementary and CTMS.  I know this will be a super year for her and the beginning of her career. 

PAT:  Kim Gale, formerly of Silver Lake Elementary, will be our new PAT teacher.  She actually taught one year at Dove prior to SLES opening.  We are excited about adding Kim to our staff. 

Sp. Ed. Para:  A new addition to our special education staff will be Stephanie Cotton.  Stephanie comes to us with lots of experience working with children and we know that she will fall in love with our students!

ESOL:  In the ESOL area, we have added Susan Bemus.  Susan comes to us most recently from Oklahoma and has a vast array of experiences.  We are pleased to welcome Susan and knmow we will benefit greatly from her expertise. 

Cafeteria:  Our new cafeteria manager is Gwen Reed.  Gwen comes to us from another school in the district and you will enjoy meeting her as you come through our cafeteria! 

We feel that that the 07-08 team will be just the ticket to provide a great year for all of our students!  Thank you for being a part of the Dove team!!
