Dear Grapevine Elementary School Families,

You are probably already aware of the state’s decision to shift our TAKS testing date from Tuesday, March 4, to Wednesday, March 5, in order to avoid conflicting with Presidential Primary Election to be held in Texas on March 4.  Because March is also Texas Public School Month there are a number of other activities and events scheduled during this time as well.  In fact we had originally scheduled our Open House to occur on Thursday, March 6, and for our Choir Concert to occur on Thursday, March 13.

Due to the change in testing dates (as well as the new requirements related to the testing process), we believe that it would be beneficial to move our Open House to Thursday, March 13.  In order to accommodate both our Open House and Choir Concert on the same evening, we will plan to begin our Open House at 5:45 p.m. so that our Choir Concert can begin shortly after its originally scheduled time of 7:00 p.m.  As usual, the doors to the cafeteria will remain closed and locked until 30 minutes prior to the show.

We realize this creates a very full evening.  However, we hope that most will find it convenient to see all that the students have accomplished so far and to enjoy a fabulous performance by our choir all in the same evening.  We thank you for your flexibility and continued support of Grapevine Elementary as we work together to see our Stars shine!
