Heritage fourth graders can serve on the Computer Crew with teacher and parent permission. These students are trained by the Instructional Technologist and are responsible for booting up and shutting down both computer labs daily. They also are taught to transport the iBook portable labs as needed throughout the building and sometimes help with maintenance. Three students usually cover each lab in the morning and afternoon for a week at a time.

Additionally, in the spring, a few third graders are recommended by their teachers to train with the some fourth graders in preparation for the coming school year.
