Crime Stoppers is a way a student or parent can anonymously report things like vandalism, theft, assaults, drugs, possession of tobacco or alcohol, etc., and receive a cash reward without ever giving your name. During school you can tell a school administrator, teacher or officer that you would like to give a Crime Stoppers tip and you will be given a private setting to place your tip by phone or online. After school you can call Crime Stoppers hotline 817-469-TIPS (8477) and a live person will be available between 7:00 a.m. and midnight 7 days a week. There is no caller ID or recording of the call and not required to give your name. Or visit www.469tips.com or click on our counselors’ corner and a form will pop up. You’re given a tip number and told to check Crime Stoppers again to check status of reward. Reward ranges from $10 - $1000 and determined based on severity of the crime. It’s approved by the Crime Stoppers board every 3rd Wednesday of every month. The following Monday you can pick up your reward at a local bank with your code word and reward amount without showing any ID. You are given cash.
