Experience

I have 21 years experience in pediatric nursing. My hospital experience includes neonatal ICU and outpatient clinics. I have 13 years experience in pediatric allergy and immunology with a focus on the care of children and adults with primary immune deficiency. I have worked in research in pediatric infectious diseases and allergy and immunology. I have been a school nurse for 6 years working in both Arkansas and Texas.

Philosphy

I believe an honest and trusting relationship with the students, families, and the faculty and staff determines the outcome of my practice as a school nurse. My goal is to provide advocacy for each student that supports a successful educational experience.

Interest

I have been married for 26 years. I have a son, age 21, and 2 daughters, age 16 and 11. I love to travel, spend time on the lake, and enjoy a variety of sports. I love reading, gardening, cooking and attending my daughter's soccer games.

Experience

I have many years of experience in nursing. My most recent years I have been a Labor & Delivery/High Risk Obstetrics Nurse in Dallas. I have worked gynecology, newborn nursery as well as years of medical-surgical nursing.

Philosophy

I believe in my patient and am an advocate for excellent care. I believe in a trusting relationship with students and their families. My goal as a school nurse will be supporting good health for each student which will enhance their learning opportunities within the school.

Interests

My husband and I have been married for 27 years and have three sons, two of which are college graduates and now are enrolled in higher education. Our youngest son will be a sophomore at Oklahoma University this fall. I enjoy scrapbooking, reading and traveling.
