My Job:
As a literacy specialist, I work with first graders in the Reading Recovery program and provide literacy support for teachers and students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. My greatest joy as a reading teacher is hearing the students say, "Oh! Now I get it!" I think one of my Reading Recovery students expressed it best when he said, "I sound like a reader now, don't I."
