  • GCISD Students Participate in CNA Bootcamp

    Students from the Health Science Certified Nursing Assistant course went to Coppell High School to participate in a practical training to prepare for their upcoming CNA Certification exam. Students practiced their skills with Coppell High School students in the same program.

    GCISD offers many Career and Technical Programs, where students can gain knowledge and certifications in career fields that they are interested in. CTE courses provide real-world learning experiences that translate into practical knowledge required for college and careers.   • Grapevine Police Department assists Law Enforcement Classes with Defensive Tactics

    Sergeant Jason Keller of the Grapevine Police Department was on campus this week, working with students and teaching them about use of force continuum, standards for law enforcement, handcuffing techniques, and basic defensive tactics. Students got to utilize training equipment to practice their new knowledge in the classroom through practical application.

  • CNA Students

    GCISD's New Certified Nursing Assistant Program

    This is the first year for GCISD to offer senior students the Certified Nursing Assistant program. Students will be participating in clinical rotations​ at Keller Oaks Nursing Healthcare Center in Keller and Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Grapevine throughout the school year. In the spring, the students will be eligible to take the certification exam through the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services to become a CNA. We are so excited to offer this program to our students.

The GCISD Technology Education and Career Center is a facility dedicated to Career and Technical Education and serves students in GCISD from Grapevine High School as well as Colleyville Heritage High School.  The TECC also contains a Go Center for students to research colleges and careers with the help of parent volunteers, and a Coffee Cafe which is run by GCISD's Nutrition Services.

  • Backpacks Needed

    New backpacks are needed for more than 1,300 pre-qualified students at GCISD's 5th Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 6. Backpacks for grades K-4th must fit a regular-sized iPad. Backpacks for grades 5th-12th must be able to hold laptops. We appreciate your support!

     

    Donations will be accepted at the GCISD administration building, 3051 Ira E. Woods Ave, Grapevine, Monday-Thursday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.
