CTE courses provide real-world learning experiences that translate into practical knowledge required for college and careers.   • Grapevine Police Department assists Law Enforcement Classes with Defensive Tactics

    Sergeant Jason Keller of the Grapevine Police Department was on campus this week, working with students and teaching them about use of force continuum, standards for law enforcement, handcuffing techniques, and basic defensive tactics. Students got to utilize training equipment to practice their new knowledge in the classroom through practical application.

  • CNA Students

    GCISD's New Certified Nursing Assistant Program

    This is the first year for GCISD to offer senior students the Certified Nursing Assistant program. Students will be participating in clinical rotations​ at Keller Oaks Nursing Healthcare Center in Keller and Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Grapevine throughout the school year. In the spring, the students will be eligible to take the certification exam through the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services to become a CNA. We are so excited to offer this program to our students.

  • Tarrant County Criminal Court 8 Judge Visits Law Enforcement Classes

    Judge Chuck Vanover visited the Law Enforcement I classes at the TECC last week to speak with students about: local, county, state, and federal court systems.

The GCISD Technology Education and Career Center is a facility dedicated to Career and Technical Education and serves students in GCISD from Grapevine High School as well as Colleyville Heritage High School.  The TECC also contains a Go Center for students to research colleges and careers with the help of parent volunteers, and a Coffee Cafe which is run by GCISD's Nutrition Services.
