I am thrilled to begin another year as a first grade teacher at CES!  I know this will be an adventurous year for both the students and myself as I am sure we will all learn so much from one another!

I have been at Colleyville Elementary since 2006. I first came to CES as an Instructional Technologist before transitioning back into the classroom as a 1st grade teacher.
My father was a teacher and coach for 41 years and my mom spent many years working in the school office, so I spent a great deal of time "playing school." My classroom always consisted of my dolls and my dog, who was not always a willing participant. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a teacher.
I am a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin- Hook 'em Horns!- with a degree in Applied Learning and Development. My career in education includes having taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades and many years as an Instructional Technologist.

When I am not teaching, I can be found having fun with my family, watching my daughter play sports and showing her FFA animals, catching up on blog reading, finding new recipes, attempting to be a DIYer and playing around on the computer.
