Kimberly Stevens, Ed. D.
After graduating from Baylor University with my Bachelor's degree in Education, I began my teaching career in Waco ISD. My teaching locations grew as I traveled the United States with my husband, who served in the United States Air Force. I have had the opportunity to work in Texas, California, Connecticut, and Nevada. Although I began my teaching career in early childhood, I found my joy teaching third through sixth grades. After ten years teaching students, my desire to coach teachers increased as well. Prior to coming to GCISD, I served as a middle school Academic Specialist in Irving ISD for the past four years.
Throughout my career, my desire to learn and keep up to date with high-evidenced based strategies was always at the forefront. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Long Beach, and my Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford. It is truly an honor and a blessing to be the Assistant Principal at Bear Creek Elementary.
My husband, Jason, works for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and we have two beautiful children. Our daughter, Kennedi, is in the second grade in Keller ISD, and our son, Jason, II, is three years old. When I am not working, I love spending all of my time with my family.
It has always been my dream to be an Assistant Principal in an elementary school, and I am looking forward to another great year!
