I am delighted to have the opportunity to shine with the Shooting Stars
this year at SLE. What a fantastic way to begin my 16 th year in
    Education!

My goal as Learning Liaison is to support, empower, and enrich teachers
and staff so that our Shooting Stars can light up the skies of our fair city
and beyond. I believe that the journey is much more important than the
destination. I believe it is essential to make mistakes in order to grow. I
believe that we must be kind and lift each other up - always.

    A little about me…
After serving several Texas school districts as a master teacher and
instructional leader for eleven years, I moved to the state level. For the
last four years, I worked as state literacy liaison/senior field
trainer/analyst for The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational
Risk and The Vaughn Gross Center for Reading and Language Arts at
The University of Texas at Austin. I was honored to lead a team that
provided professional development and technical assistance to school
districts - along with their associated early childhood education
providers - across the GREAT state of Texas!

I hold a M.Ed. in School Administration and a BFA in Theatre and
Television. Additionally, I attended the American Musical and Dramatic
Academy in New York City. As an educator and an artist, I leveraged my
skills by promoting literacy through Fine Arts in schools at the
    elementary and secondary levels.

I have built my family through international and open adoption. I am the
proud Daddy to two boys, Sebastian (a 5th grader) and Kyan (a mighty 2
    year old).
