In 2003 Extended Care Services began in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD with mission to provide quality before and after school care. During prior years GCISD had outsourced this service, but decided to operate their own programs with any profits going directly into the District's general operating fund. Within the District Extended Care Services operates the KidzU Program and the Early Childhood Development Center. Both programs are tuition based, self funded and staffed by GCISD employees.
As a part of GCISD, we operate after school programs in all elementary schools. KidzU, our after school program on the elementary campuses also offers care before school and during the summer. Extended Care Services and the District is committed to offering quality after school care to your child.
The GCISD Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) is open year round to employees and to the community in the summer. For eight weeks during the summer, the ECDC hosts enrichment camps for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old beginning in June and ending in August. No enrichment camps will be provided for one week during the beginning of July.
Our dedicated and capable staff is committed to providing programs that will provide a service to the school community and will be recognized for its excellence. We look forward to working with each and every family to build strong partnerships between the time your child spends with you and the time he/she spends in our care.
