Congratulations to Operation H20 , 1st place winners at the International Community Problem Solving Competition!
The judges for the competition commented on the impressive number of accomplishments attained by the team, and were amazed by how many lives were touched through the purchase of a $7,000 water purification plant for Nandesari, India. "Your enthusiasm and ability to work together have impacted government, helped people in India, reached so many children, and impacted countless lives. You have presented an amazing project. Congratulations!"
Congratulations to Project FAIR, 3rd place winners at the International Community Problem Solving Competition!
Six 8th graders were inspired to make a difference in the lives of enslaved workers in the world by teaching local consumers the consequences their purchases make. As Project FAIR - Fighting Against the Insult to Rights-classes were taught, surveys were taken, Fair Trade products were sold, and people began to look for the logo that guaranteed the product was manufactured using fair labor practices.
