Shelley On Monday, July 10, Trustees named Shelley Ingram the new principal of Timberline Elementary School. Ingram is currently serving as an assistant principal at J.C. Thompson Elementary School in Northwest ISD.

“Timberline has been a part of my family since my youngest daughter was a Tiger and I had the wonderful opportunity to be a teacher here,” Ingram said. “I have a deep passion and love for this school and am thrilled to lead alongside such a committed staff, talented students and one of a kind community!”

The search for a new principal for Timberline Elementary began in May when Dr. June Ritchlin accepted the role of Executive Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction with Castleberry ISD.

From 2009-2012, Ingram was an instructional math coach in GCISD where she supported campus leadership in transforming campuses from a teaching to a learning platform.

While in GCISD, Ingram also served an adjunct professor at Texas Tech University where she developed a hybrid course that aligned with Texas Education Agency and university standards and requirements. From 2004-2009, Ingram was a teacher at Timberline Elementary School and in 2007 she was named TES Teacher of the Year.

Prior to joining GCISD, Ingram taught for two years in Dallas ISD where she was awarded with the Cesar Chavez Teacher of the Year in 2003-2004. She served for one year as a campus instructional coach in Austin ISD in 2000 after beginning her career in 1990 and spending 10 years in Lubbock ISD as a second, fourth and sixth-grade teacher.

“We are excited to have Shelley return to GCISD in her new role as Timberline Elementary principal,” said Dr. Robin Ryan, GCISD Superintendent. “Shelley’s experience as an instructional coach, curriculum coordinator and adjunct professor will help her serve amongst student leaders at our Leader In Me Lighthouse Milestone school.”

Ingram received her bachelor’s degree in education from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Texas Tech University.
