Student art selected for cover of GCISD holiday greeting card

Two creative holiday designs, one each from the elementary and secondary levels, have been selected as winners of the 2012 GCISD Holiday Greeting Card Contest. With the theme of  "Holiday Storytime," the two winning cards were selected from 72 entries submitted by students throughout the district. Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan and the GCISD Board of Trustees send the holiday cards to community leaders, area businesses, organizations and other school districts.

Contest winners are:
  • Elementary - Crystal Manyloun, 3rd grade, Colleyville Elementary School
  • High School - Ken Workman, 12th grade, Grapevine High School
Each student will receive a $25 gift card to Target and be recognized at the Dec. 17 meeting of the GCISD Board of Trustees. The winning art was selected based on originality, adherence to the "Holiday Storytime" theme, use of color and overall design.
