In order to get a better understanding of how a PBL works, we are going to follow one teacher as she uses a yearlong PBL activity to cover all areas of the curriculum. Laura Byno, who teaches eighth-grade science at Grapevine Middle School (GMS), and her students, along with help from instructional coach Wendy Howe and Phillip Lentz, have embarked on a yearlong journey with a PBL.
