The Celebrate Texas Public Schools Rally on February 7 at GHS kicked off a campaign to increase awareness of the programs, opportunities and quality of education provided in our schools. The rally, which also addressed the challenges facing public education in Texas, was just the beginning and we are asking everyone to keep the conversation going.
Every Representative and Senator for Colleyville, Euless and Grapevine is on Facebook and Twitter. We encourage you to contact them directly and share your thoughts or ask questions.
Interested in reaching out through Facebook? Click your Representatives' or Senators' Facebook link (shown below). When you get to his or her page, write a post on the wall or comment on a posting he or she has made.
To keep the conversation going on Twitter, tweet your Representative or Senator directly by using his or her Twitter handle. For example, to tweet U.S. Rep. Kenny Marchant directly, begin your message with @RepKenMarchant and then proceed to make a comment or ask a question. Also, use the hashtag #supportTXschools in any tweet relating to @GCISD or public education.
It is crucial that we keep the momentum of this conversation going strong as we encourage our communities to ask lawmakers to Make Education A Priority.
