  • Silver Lake Reads Program Has Begun!

     

    The Silver Lake Reads/GCISD Reads program runs from June 1, 2016 - May 1, 2017. Students record the pages they read using the K-2 English, K-2 Espanol, or 3rd-5th form. The goal for K-2 is 1,500 pages and the goal for 3-5 is 2,500 pages!

  • Teacher and Paraprofessinal of the Year Celebration!

     

    Silver Lake Staff recognized Jenna Curry as Teacher of the Year and Rudy Alvarado as Paraprofessional of the Year.

    Ms. Curry is a Special Services teacher who has been at Silver Lake for 3 years and serves as the team leader for the special services department.

    Mr. Alvarado, aka Mr. Rudy, is the Campus Technician. This is his first year at Silver Lake.

    We are so lucky to have them here!

  • DFW Airport Police Visit Second Graders!

     

    Students were studying community helpers and Mrs. Sagiri was able to get Officer Sagiri and Officer Riberch of the DFW Airport Police SWAT Team to come visit!

  • Backpacks Needed

    New backpacks are needed for more than 1,300 pre-qualified students at GCISD's 5th Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 6. Backpacks for grades K-4th must fit a regular-sized iPad. Backpacks for grades 5th-12th must be able to hold laptops. We appreciate your support!

     

    Donations will be accepted at the GCISD administration building, 3051 Ira E. Woods Ave, Grapevine, Monday-Thursday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.
