GCISD's 5th Annual Video Festival is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate
the creative talents and accomplishments of students and staff. Join in
the fun event with a chance to have your movie featured at the Awards
Ceremony in April. Entries will be accepted between Feb. 20-March
2 at the Administration Building Lobby. Early Deadline
is Friday, Feb. 23; last day to submit a video is Friday,
March 2 at 12 p.m. (noon).
Complete
on online application so that your information is part of the Video
Festival database.
A copy of your application should be printed out and attached to the front
of the envelope with your video inside.

entries must fit into one of the following categories:
- Teach
Me Something
- Make
an instructional or "how-to" movie
- Make
Me Laugh
- Make
a movie sure to get the audience laughing
- Tell
Me a Story Fiction or Non-Fiction
- Non-Fiction
- Tell a story about your family, your community, your culture or
about you!
- Fiction
- Make a movie that is a drama, action, sci-fi or fantasy.
- Character
Education
- Documentary

(Middle School, High School and Staff only) - Make a factual and informative
movie that examines either political, social, community, cultural or
historical subject matters.
- Animation
- Includes
computer animation, hand-drawn, clay animation, frame animation
or anime.

- Content
Quality - The flow of information and the quality of the images
- Technical
Merit - Appropriate use of transitions, titling, background music, special
effects, etc.
- Impact
- The degree to which the movie achieves the intent of the category
- Accuracy
- Precision with respect to content information and English usage.
