Learn how to deposit checks online using the bank’s mobile app. Installing the bank app is a simple process. First you need to find the app store icon on your mobile phone. Type “bank app” in the search bar. Once you find it, go ahead, click the “Download” button and wait for the installation. After downloading the app, you will see the bank app button appear on your phone. Click the icon to open the app. After sending the credentials, the app will take you to the home screen. At this point you can start the mobile deposit process.
First select “Check Deposit”. Follow the instructions on the screen. The app will ask you if you want to invest in your current account, savings or another type. After selecting an account, the app will ask you to enter the amount you are paying. Write the amount on the check. Click the “Finish” button.
Now take a picture of the front of the check. Be sure to center the check mark on the phone screen. Once you’ve centered it, click the button to take a photo and click “Use Photo”. Now take a picture of the back of the check. Be sure to stamp the back of the check before photographing it. Add your signature and write “For mobile deposit only”. Once you’ve centered it, click the button to take the photo and click “Use Photo” again. Now that we’ve taken a picture of the front and back of the check, send your deposit by clicking the “Send Deposit” button. 3 Making a deposit 1. Enter mobile banking and select Make a deposit from the main menu. 2. Select Send Deposit. (1) (2) 3. Select the checking account to which you want to make a deposit, enter the deposit amount and enter the check number. If you have multiple checking accounts, use the drop-down control (1) to switch between accounts. When finished, select Next (2). 4. Select the Capture Image option.

4 5. Place the phone over the check, making sure all four corners are inside the edges of the screen. Select a recording. 6. If you are satisfied with the image, select Use. Otherwise, choose Retake and retake the face of the check. 7. The image will load (speed depends on network conditions). If the transfer was successful, you will see the message Your media was sent successfully. Select Close. 8. Select Next.
5 9. Make sure the check is properly endorsed with your signature and deposit in Commerce Bank only and select the Capture Image option. 10. Place the phone over the check, making sure all four corners are inside the edges of the screen. Select a recording. 11. If you are satisfied with the image, select Use. Otherwise, select Retake and recapture the back of the check. 12. The image will be uploaded (speed depends on network conditions). If the transfer was successful, you will see the message Your media was sent successfully. Select Close.
6 13. Select Next. 14. View the deposit details. If all information is correct, select Submit. Otherwise, select Back. 15. If the deposit was successful and accepted, you will see a confirmation screen with the deposit details and the confirmation code. If you receive an error message, see the next page for help. 16. You can review all previous Mobile Check deposits on the RDC History page when you select the Make Deposit option from the main menu. Please note: Mobile check deposits will not appear in your account history until they are actually sent to your account.
7 Troubleshooting If you receive one of the following messages when sending a deposit, please follow the appropriate instructions. Error message Unable to read the data at the bottom of the check box, rotate the check and take the picture again. Recommendation Make sure that the check is not upside down and that the lower part of the check is not blocked and is fully visible in the picture. The check was previously deposited. This verification cannot be processed. The software recognized the check as a duplicate and could not process it. Can’t find the endorsement on the back of the check. Make sure the check is verified and take the photo again. Please take the photo again. Hold the camera still, use good lighting, and make sure the four control corners are visible. Make sure the check is properly endorsed with your signature and only for deposit in Commercial Banka, and that the endorsement is fully visible in the image. The image quality is too low and the software cannot read the check. Placing the marking on a solid black or white background can help. If after reading these tips you’re still having trouble making your deposit, contact our Customer Response Center between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
