From Gili Trawangan To Bali

From Gili Trawangan To Bali – If you are planning a trip to Indonesia, you have probably included Gili Trawangan in your itinerary. This little paradise is the most popular backpacking destination in India and continues to meet the expectations of travelers everywhere. As you probably know, Indonesia has thousands of islands (over 17,000 to be exact) and they are quite difficult to navigate. Fear not, we are here to help you get to the Gili Islands smoothly from Lombok or Bali.

The Gili Islands are three islands off the east coast of Lombok, Bali. Their gili are Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. “Gili” translates as “island”. Known for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and stunning coral reefs, the Gilis is a popular destination for many surfers. Gili Trawangan is the most developed of the three, with a length of 3 km and a width of 2 km.

From Gili Trawangan To Bali

There is no airport on Gili Trawangan, so you have to go by boat. You can easily take a boat from Lombok or Bali. If you want to go to Gili Meno or Gili Air, these options will get you there. Here is a summary of your main options:

Fast Boat From Bali To Gili Trawangan

Depending on the year, some fonts may not work. We will update this post regularly, but it’s always a good idea to check with your accommodation or travel agent for the latest information and schedules.

The most popular way to arrive is from Bali, as Bali is the most popular destination in Indonesia. The easiest and fastest way to get there is to first go to Padang Bai Bay in the center of the eastern part of the island. It takes about an hour and a half from Kangoo. It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Ubud. Traffic in Bali is horrible so give yourself a good cushion as it’s worse than usual.

From Padang Bai you will take a ‘speedboat’ to Gilis. The port where you board your boat is in front of the ferry offices (search Google Maps for “Padgang Bai Ferry Port”) which takes about an hour and a half. These boats also stop at other Gili Islands, so listen to the advertisements, drop off at the right spot, or ask the staff.

The most convenient way to arrange your own ferry to Trawangan with your child is to book through an accommodation or travel agent. You can find tourist offices on the streets of popular towns in Bali. Ask for the best deals and deals. Prices vary over time. Buying a round-trip ticket will cost you two round-trip tickets, and the return ticket is still open. These tickets include transportation from your accommodation. The minibus/van usually stops at several stops and picks up other tourists around Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta.

Best Ways To Get To The Gili Islands From Bali

You can travel to Padang Bai Port by taxi, private driver, or ride-sharing apps like GoJek or Grab. It’s better because you don’t have to go as long as it’s a direct flight, but you pay for it. You can buy your boat ticket at one of the many boat companies’ offices, but the price isn’t cheap (Ekajaya advertises IDR 550,000 one way, Blue Water Express advertises IDR 630,000 one way).

We recommend using Ekajaya because it is more reliable and timely. Ikajaya Padang Bai boats depart at 9 AM, 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM. Every day – be in port half an hour early, although the boats leave half an hour later. The boats are huge and air conditioned (usually). Sometimes the upstairs turns into a party, with music playing and lots of socializing. The journey takes an hour and a half.

Note: Departure dates will be updated in July 2022. This is subject to change and in some cases departure times may be added or excluded, so times may vary by company, location or travel agent.

Remember, this is the national life. Prices and departure dates are not fixed. Our best advice is to check with your trusted accommodation, as they work with travel agents and companies. Another way to ask is if the person you’re meeting with has someone who can get you a cheap ticket. “Being a child” is a common childhood practice.

From Bali: Private 3 Day Gili Islands Tour With Snorkeling In Bali

Depending on the season, some companies and lines do not work. Please confirm your time and availability. Please book at least 1 day in advance to secure your spot. If you want to buy a package that includes hotel pickup, the time they give you may vary (note: it may be very late, but you can still get to the boat on time). If you get to the port early, there are plenty of restaurants near the village before you board.

Once you reach Gili Trawangan pier, you will find that Gili T is car-free, so all transportation is on foot, by bike, or by horse-drawn carriage. If you want to see great scenery by walking, you can walk through the center of the island in about 30 minutes. Gili Trawangan is located 750 meters north along the coast from the pier. Turn left onto Vila Kelapa Road (look for Blu d’a Mare) and head west for 1.5 km. Turn right when you get to the beach. Crazy Monkey is 2 minutes away.

If you are walking around the island it will take about 45 minutes. Bike rental costs around IDR 50,000 ($3.5 USD) per day. Horse-drawn carriages, also known as sidomo, cost between IDR 100,000-150,000 (US$7-10).

In addition, there are several ports in Bali from which you can sail, although Padang Bai is the fastest boat trip. There are daily ferry crossings from Serangan, Sanur and Lembongan (the closest island to Nusa on Bali’s east coast). If these outlets are closer to your home, you may want to consider these options.

Fast Boat Nusa Penida To Gili Island

Note: Also, most of these itineraries have been canceled due to Covid. Confirm the schedule with your agent and accommodation.

Some boat companies will not operate if the water is too choppy. In this case, if you want to get the cheapest car class, you can get the “Low Boat”. There are ferries from Bali to Lombok every 60-90 minutes. The catch is that the journey is quite long, taking anywhere from four to six hours one way. It’s also inconvenient (you may not get a seat) and it’s always crowded. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it can be a fun story (or a long, boring story).

A slow boat departs from Padang Bai. You will find the port on the south side where the speedboats leave (search Google Maps for “Padang Bai Port”). This will take you to the port of Lembar in Lombok. From here, you’ll take a taxi or other mode of transportation to Bangsal Pier (this ticket may be included if you book through a travel shop). The trip takes between one and a half to two hours and includes other sites. You can take a regular ferry from Bangsal to Trawangan (stopping at Air and Meno on the way), which takes 30 to 45 minutes. It’s also a fast and cheap car.

Also, you can order from one of the tourist shops around town, through your home or at the port. Like a speedboat, the merchant and your home reservation include pick-up and drop-off to Pikang Bay. You can arrange your own transfer to the port to arrive early and avoid many stops, but this will require special arrangements and additional costs.

Learning About Gili Trawangan And The Wallace Line

Alternatively, you can fly to Lombok International Airport from Bali Denpasar (Ngurah Rai) Airport. This approximately 25-minute ride is quick and easy, and fares start at $20 USD. Lombok Airport is located near the city of Praia and you can take a taxi or a private car to Bangsal port. It takes about two hours and taxi fares (we recommend Blue Bird Taxi!) start from IDR 250,000 ($18 USD).

From here, you can take a public boat or speedboat from Bangsal Pier to Gilil Island (prices listed above). If you arrive after 4:30 pm, you may miss it
